House Subcommittee Takes First Step and Advances Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization

The JDB夺宝电子 (JDB夺宝电子) applauds the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health for advancing the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act of 2019 (H.R. 728) by a unanimous voice vote.聽

In addition, JDB夺宝电子 commends the Subcommittee for adopting an amendment offered by nursing champion, Representative Doris Matsui (D-CA), raising the total authorization amount by $10 million to reflect the House-passed Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 appropriations funding levels. This additional authorization, along with the changes to expand choice for nurses in the NURSE Corps Loan Repayment Program, will ensure Title VIII programs continue to receive the support needed to train and retain nurses today and in the future.聽
